Reporting a repair [Top]

When you notice that something needs repairing you should contact us as soon as possible by calling the numbers shown on these pages. If you are reporting an emergency repair, out of office hours you should telephone our emergency repairs service on 0800 622270. Please have the following information to hand when reporting a repair:

  • Your name, address and telephone number
  • When someone will be at home to enable an inspection to be made or the repair carried out
  • Details of the repair
Confirmation of the repair order [Top]
  • We will send you a confirmation of the repair that has been ordered. This will show: the details of the repair, who will be carrying out the repair, the time in which the repair will be carried out and a repair response slip.
The appointment [Top]
  • The contractor who will carry out the repair will contact you to arrange a suitable appointment
  • Repair work is carried out between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday
  • If you are unable to be at home when the contractor is due to call, you should contact them immediately to change the appointment
  • If the contractor calls and you are out a calling card will be left for you to make another appointment. If you do not respond, the repair may be cancelled and you may be responsible for the cost of the visit.
  • If the work is not done within the response time you should contact your local office, who will follow it up immediately
The repair [Top]
  • All of our contractors are required to provide identification so please ask to see it
  • All of the contractors used by us have agreed to abide by a Code of Conduct. This means they should be courteous to you and treat your home and belongings with respect. If you have a complaint or a compliment about a contractor, please contact your local office or Rydon Maintenance depending on who carries out your repair.
When the repair work has been completed the contractor will ask you to sign their copy of the order to confirm the work has been completed.
