Downland Housing Association, Warden Housing, Safer Guildford, Surrey Police, Laing Homes and Linden Homes are inviting all new residents of Queen Elizabeth Park in Guildford to the event at Northmead Primary School in Stoughton on Saturday 31 July 2004 (2-4pm).
"The Queen Elizabeth Park afternoon will be fun for all the family," said Richard Tomkinson, Participation and Communities Manager, Downland Housing Association.
"There will be a bouncy castle, Sunny the clown, Olympic Challenge including sack races, tug of war and much much more!”.
"We want to give the new residents the chance to meet each other and for their children to have some fun," he added.
Queen Elizabeth Park is a very large development of 525 homes including homes for private sale, shared ownership and rented. There will be 184 affordable homes split between Downland Housing Association and Warden Housing Association. Downland will own a total of 89 of the homes including 32 Shared Ownership two and three bedroom houses and two bedroom flats as well as 57 rented two, three and four bedroom houses and one and two bedroom flats.
A number of the homes will have PV systems (photovoltaic cells on the roof) to provide solar energy, a further number will have solar hot water systems installed. One home within the scheme is being developed to mobility standard in order to meet the specific needs of the nominated tenants and two further properties are being developed as disabled units.
