As a merger of an LSVT and a traditional housing association, we have skills and experience from both organisations including :
- Working in partnership with local authorities and other partners to provide solutions for other housing related needs.
- Bringing experience of what works well in other areas, and how this can be applied in different situations.
- Reliability in meeting commitments.
We provide :
- General rented affordable housing
- Temporary accommodation; private sector leasing
- Supported Housing
- Housing for the elderly including Sheltered and Extra Care
- Key worker accommodation, including homes for hospital staff
- Rural housing, as well as regeneration in urban areas
- Shared ownership homes
- Services for leaseholders
Downland Housing Association is controlled by voluntary members through a Board of Management, with 2 committees looking in greater detail at aspects of the association’s work and future direction.
These are the Planning and Resources Committee and the Performance and Operations Committee. The voluntary members comprise independent, tenant and local authority representatives.
In addition the Board and Committees actively seek advice and support from the formal Resident Consultative Panels.
